Maximus Gives
Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Maximus Law for use of Maximus Gives, including the website, member accounts, activities, coins and points, events, raffles, and rewards. By creating an account or using the program, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the program.
1. Who can use it
- You must be at least 13 years old. Some programs, payouts, and rewards require you to be 18 or older, or to have a parent or guardian involved.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- One account per person. Accounts may not be sold, shared, or transferred.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for your password and for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- We may require email verification before certain features, such as earning or redeeming rewards.
3. Coins and points
Coins and points are a program feature, not money. They have no cash value outside the program, cannot be sold or transferred, do not earn interest, and may be adjusted, expired, or ended as described here or in a specific promotion.
- Coins are awarded for activities we have reviewed and approved. Staff decisions about whether an activity qualifies are final.
- Awards may depend on limits such as a maximum number of rewarded reads or quizzes in a period.
- We may correct balances after an error, duplicate award, or suspected abuse.
- Rewards are subject to availability and may be substituted with something of comparable value.
- You are responsible for any taxes that apply to a prize you receive.
4. Participation rules
- Submit only your own work, photos, and activity. Do not submit someone else's content without permission.
- Do not fake, duplicate, or automate participation, including using scripts, bots, or multiple accounts.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the site, other members' accounts, or our security measures.
- Do not scrape, copy, or republish member data or program content without permission.
We may reject a submission, remove content, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
5. Content you upload
You keep ownership of your photos and text. By uploading, you give Maximus Law permission to store, display, resize, and use that content as part of running and promoting the program, including on the site and in our social channels. Proof photos are only shown to authorized staff. You can ask us to remove content you uploaded, subject to records we must keep.
6. Events, raffles, and quizzes
- Each event or raffle may have its own rules, entry periods, eligibility, and prizes. Those rules control for that activity.
- Winners are selected as described in the activity rules. Odds depend on the number of valid entries.
- Where required, a no-purchase-necessary method of entry is provided in the activity rules.
- Activities are void where prohibited. We may cancel or change an activity if needed for legal or practical reasons.
7. Rewards and fulfillment
- Redemption requests are reviewed by staff before fulfillment.
- Some rewards require pickup or confirmation of identity.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or by information you provide that is incorrect or incomplete.
8. Suspension and ending your account
You may stop using the program at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account, withhold a reward, or reverse an award if we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, a safety concern, or a violation of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the decision and how to ask for a review.
9. Program changes
We may add, change, or discontinue features, rewards, or the program itself. If we discontinue the program, we will make a reasonable effort to let members know and to honor valid, outstanding rewards where we can.
10. Disclaimers
The program is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error free. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using the program does not create an attorney-client relationship. Contacting Maximus Law through the program is not a request for legal representation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Maximus Law is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the program. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for a claim relating to the program is limited to the value of the coins or rewards involved in that claim.
12. Indemnity
You agree to cover reasonable losses and costs if a third party makes a claim because you broke these terms, broke the law, or uploaded content that infringed someone else's rights.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the program after a change means you accept the updated terms.
